Sadie's Homepage:

Hi, My name is Sadie Risch. I am a chocolate and tan Chihuahua.

My favorite things are going for walks, taking naps in the sun, and hot dogs.

I know how to potty in the right place, fetch, and even sit and stay (if I want to).

Sometimes, I even bring daddy his slippers, but mostly I just like to

chew on them. Most of the time I am a good girl, but sometimes I will steal

someone's socks or underwear if I am not getting enough attention.

I like people, but I'm usually pretty shy around other dogs because I'm so little.

I'm usually a pretty quiet girl, but if a deer or turkey or raccoon comes into my yard,

I'll bark and scare it away. My favorite TV station is Animal Planet and my

favorite music is anything with flutes in it. I was born in Sutherlin, Oregon in May, 2006.

Fall 2008:

Lillie and I got to ride on a plane to North Carolina. We are now living in the trailer with our daddy full time. We like living in the trailer on the lake because we get to meet lots of new friends. We have a nice porch to sit on, and it has been very sunny which we like. We even get to ride on the golf cart and the boat, but mostly we just like to go for long walks.

Summer 2008:

I have some sad news that I heard from my friends Susan and Barbara at Senior Dog Rescue. I'm going to let Lillie make a special entry because Barbara and Susan gave Lillie urgently needed medical care when she was put in a shelter as a puppy:

Hi, I'm Lillie. I am a brindle and white Chihuahua/Boston terrier mix.

This is my first time using a computer, but it is for an important cause.

If it wasn't for Senior Dog Rescue, I probably wouldn't be alive today, so I am very thankful for their help. I just heard that there are other doggies that need help too, so if you can adopt or become a foster home, our little hearts will be happy.

Spring 2008:

May:

Spring has been a long time coming this year, but finally the grass is getting nice for playing in, and it is getting warmer outside. Lillie and I have been getting much better at listening, so now Mommy and Daddy let Lillie and Me play in the backyard without a leash sometimes. We really love running around and chasing each other. It can be fun having a little sister sometimes.

We went camping again way up in the mountains. We got to see lots of snow on the drive. Lillie and I loved the campsite from the moment we arrived. There was a big grassy area very near the campsite that was perfect for running around in and lots of other places for walks. Lillie and I got to go to a groomer where some nice girls really pampered us. I even got to get blow dried which I loved! Lillie didn't like getting blow dried as much, but she had a good time, too. We went on lots of walks, and I got to see a great big tree. A weekend of walks, naps, treats, and getting to spend lots of time with Mommy and Daddy went by too quickly. I was very sad when mommy and daddy were getting ready to go. I cried when mommy closed up the camper, because I didn't want to go home yet.

April:

It was Lillie's birthday on Monday. We celebrated just after we got back from a fun camping trip. Lillie got some cake, and even though the cake was for her, we both got to try a little piece. I have to admit, although I try to be a good girl most of the time, I sometimes get jealous of my little sister. I got kind of jealous when Lillie got all that attention, and I went to my room when the family sang her birthday song. I came back out when it was time for cake, however.

I almost forgot how much I like camping. I knew something was up all week long. Mommy and Daddy kept saying "Camper" and "Camping" so I knew that they were getting ready to go somewhere. I went and waited in the travel crate many times just to make sure that I wouldn't get left behind. On Thursday night when Mommy and Daddy started packing their clothes, Lillie and I got super excited. We really knew there was going to be a trip, and we didn't want to get left behind. We really like camping because we get to ride in the truck and get lots of attention. On our trip, we took lots of walks and saw lots of new things. We even got to play in the snow. I like the snow, but Lillie doesn't like it as much because she gets cold easier. She is such a baby, and I'm such a big girl.

Spring 2007 Update:

I just had my birthday in May. I got to eat some hot dogs, and mommy even made me a cake.

I didn't get to eat the whole cake, but I got a little taste. Mommy and Daddy got a new truck

and camper, and I have gone camping a few times. I really like camping in our new trailer.

Summer 2007 Update:

I had a real exciting summer. In June I got to go on a plane to Minnesota. I was a pretty good girl once I got to go on the plane, but I didn't like waiting in line at the airport. I liked Minnesota because I got to go for lots of walks, and I got a lot of attention. I went up to the cabin with Mommy and Daddy and Daddy's mommy, Karen. I really liked the cabin and spent lots of time snuggling with my family.

Later on in the summer, I went camping with my family in Sisters, Camp Sherman, and Cape Lookout. I always love camping because I see so many new things and get lots of attention and walks. Cape Lookout was my favorite because I got to go on a lot of nice walks on the beach. I also met plenty of other friendly dogs out camping this summer.

Fall 2007 Update:

Man, is it ever raining a lot this fall! It has been really exciting for me the last couple of weeks since Mommy and Daddy brought me a little sister, Lillie. She is a girl, Chihuahua like me and we like to play and snuggle together. Now I don't have to be at home alone all day. Mommy, Daddy, Lillie, and Me went camping at a Lake, and we had lots of fun. Daddy got some fish that he let me and Lillie see. There is a picture of Lillie and me below.
